Latin American Workshop on Gender

CLAC and FLO International have another common topic in their agendas: The Promotion of Gender Equality! ... they have started joint collaboration to build together a Gender Strategy, for this reason they have met in Lima, Perú, on September 22nd and 23th; where more than 40 representatives from the Dominican Republic, Honduras, Nicaragua, Colombia, Ecuador and Peru have participated together in the seminar, exchanging experiences and ideas on how to move forward together in this important theme.
Alliance of Fairtrade Producer Networks (CAN) Meeting

From 23th to 25th August/11, was held in Managua, Nicaragua, a meeting between the networks of producers of Latin America (CLAC), Africa (Fairtrade Africa) and Asia (NAP), with the main purpose to discuss and propose a new model of governance in the FLO system. The event also involved members of National Initiatives of Fairtrade Canada (FAIRTRADE CANADA), United States (FAIRTRADE USA), Switzerland, Maxhaveelar France, and executive staff and Board of Directors of FLO International. During the event they also discussed other issues of great importance within the FLO system, as it was the subject of diversity of producers, among others.
